Monica Berkowitz
President
I am currently starting my 23rd year at Nassau BOCES in the position
as teacher aide working with students with autism.
In 1988 was appointed as shop steward.
In 1990 was elected as 1st Vice President of the Nassau BOCES
Unit. In 1993 was appointed as 4th Vice President of the Nassau
Educational Local 865. In 1995 was elected President of Nassau
BOCES Unit and currently serve in that position. In 2006 assumed
the position of President of Nassau Educational Local 865.
I have served on various Statewide,
Region and Local committees such as Resolutions and By-Laws,
Membership, Member Action Committee and am currently chair of
the Region School District Committee.
